Gurmat means living according to the wisdom and guidance of the Guru. It encourages remembrance of Waheguru, truthful living, humility, equality, compassion and service to humanity.
Guru Nanak Dev Je Pioneer Trust 2009 seeks to provide opportunities for individuals and families to connect with Gurbani and Sikh teachings through religious programmes, Kirtan, Simran, Gurmat learning and Seva.
Our Gurmat Services
A range of spiritual and community services may be arranged in accordance with Sikh tradition and the Trust’s programme schedule.
Gurbani Kirtan
Devotional singing of Gurbani to encourage spiritual reflection and connection with the Guru’s teachings.
Akhand Path Sahib
Continuous recitation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, arranged according to Sikh religious tradition.
Sehaj Path Sahib
A complete reading of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji undertaken over an extended period.
Anand Karaj
Sikh marriage ceremony centred upon the four Laavaan and the spiritual responsibilities of married life.
Ardas
Congregational prayer may be offered for important occasions, gratitude, remembrance and community wellbeing.
Antim Ardas
Prayer and support for families following bereavement, in accordance with Sikh tradition and community practice.
Naam Karan
Sikh naming ceremony welcoming a child into the family and community in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Sukhmani Sahib Path
Recitation of Sukhmani Sahib for spiritual reflection, peace and congregation.
Guru Ka Langar
Community Langar expressing equality, hospitality, sharing and selfless service.

Shoes should be removed in the designated area before entering Gurdwara Sahib.

Langar is open to everyone without distinction of faith, background or social status.
